Healing begins with being truly seen

My path to healing

My journey into yoga and healing began not in a studio, but in my own search for relief. After a car accident in 2015, I found myself navigating constant pain, anxiety, and depression. I also had two young children at the time and was unable to return to my prior profession. I felt unregulated and lost. I then discovered a wonderful gentle yoga class. It was in this class that I was finally able to slow down, listen to my body and rediscover the mind-body connection that had been lost.

What started as a personal practice grew into a calling. I completed my yoga teacher training in 2017 at Raffa Yoga in Cranston, RI. My own practice deepened and I couldn't wait to share what I had learned. Years went by and my own practice grew. I explored varying styles of yoga and even became certified in Aerial Yoga and Kids Yoga!  Finally, at a retreat to the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA, I discovered Yoga Therapy. I was immediately drawn by its evidence-informed, individualized approach to healing. In 2023, I started my path to become a certified Yoga Therapist. It has been a wonderful, transformative journey and I have loved learning about topics such as Ayurveda, Pranayama, Yoga as it applies to Medical and Mental Health Settings, and so much more. As I finish my mentorship hours and wait to take my certification exam, I am accepting new clients at a discounted rate as I deepen my clinical practice.

I also hold a Reiki certification and weave energy healing into my work when it serves my clients. My approach is always trauma-informed, compassionate, and rooted in deep respect for each person's unique path.
